This story is inspired by real events that took place
in the struggle between Julius Caesar and Pompey,
as well as Caesar's encounter with Cleopatra.

Summary of the previous part: Caesar has just won the Battle of the Desert Gate, north of Alexandria, and repelled the Egyptian relief fleet sailing up the Nile. But he learns that the Egyptian general Achillas has been rescued and forced to flee to Alexandria. Caesar flies into a rage, wanting to behead him and give his head to the Pharaoh to declare the war definitively lost…
Caesar decides to attack one of Alexandria's gates by using a secret underground passage leading into the city, thanks to Amoukis, one of Cleopatra's favorites, who has shown him the outer entrance.
Immediately, the legionaries attack the city from within and manage to open the gate. The Roman cavalry arrives and surges through the streets of Alexandria, heading for the Pharaoh's palace to stop him once again…
