Summary of the previous part: Prince SHING-LOU has been appointed ambassador by Emperor YUANDI, ruler of the Middle Kingdom. 

 The Prince meets Julius Caesar in Rome and presents him with gifts from the Chinese Emperor. 

He also informs Caesar of Caesar's desire to establish trade agreements with the Romans in exchange for knowledge of Roman military strategies. 

 Julius Caesar invites the Prince and the Chinese General WOU CHI to attend his triumphal ceremony for his victory in the Gallic Wars.
