Part 2: The KIDNAPPING

 

Summary of the previous part: An emissary from Queen Cleopatra arrived by sea to see the Proconsul Julius Caesar.

 Men dressed in black witnessed her arrival and approached the local Gallic chieftain. 

 The meeting with Julius Caesar took place, and the Queen's emissary delivered her message: Queen Cleopatra requested Julius Caesar's intervention against the Egyptian General Achilles, her brother's right-hand man with whom she ruled, urging the Roman proconsul to fight him, as he was assembling an army against her. Julius Caesar refused.  

The emissary departed with Caesar's message.  

As she left the camp, Gauls on horseback watched her go…
