This story is inspired by historical events that took place during the Gallic Wars between Julius Caesar and the leader of the Gallic Tribal Alliance, Vercingetorix.

Summary of the previous part: The Roman fortifications are impregnable.

And the Gauls have no more food. Vercingetorix decides that the women, children, and the elderly must leave Alesia and that, most certainly, Julius Caesar will take pity on them and let them pass or keep them as slaves, but they will live... But he refuses and lets them return to Alesia.

Vercingetorix forbids them from returning to Alesia because they need to be fed, and he needs his soldiers to be strong and therefore fed while waiting for the Gallic Rescue Army...

Thus, the women, children, and the elderly of Alesia starved to death between the two camps...
