 This story is inspired by true events that took place during the Gallic Wars between Julius Caesar and the Gallic leader Vercingetorix.

Summary of the previous part: Julius Caesar has gone to reason with a Gallic cavalry allied with the Romans who were preparing to join Vercingetorix. 

A small group of the Aedui, led by a leader named Litaviccos, leaves to join the Gallic leader at Gergovia... 

The rest of the Aedui cavalry present has sided with the Romans. But during Caesar's absence, the Gauls of Gergovia, led by Vercingetorix, begin attacking the Roman camps. 

The Romans decide to take refuge in their camp rather than face the Gauls without their cavalry, which has left with Caesar...
