This story is inspired by real events that took place 

during the final years of Julius Caesar's reign.

PART 1: CONCERNS

 

Time Period: At the beginning of 47 BC, Julius Caesar won the war against the young Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII and restored Cleopatra to power. But new battles lay ahead for Caesar: he would have to fight against the supporters of Pompey the Great, who had taken refuge in North Africa (modern-day Tunisia) and Hispania (modern-day Spain). 

 

 But before that, Caesar had to contend with Pharnaces II, King of the Bosporus, who had reconquered territories lost in 64 BC by his father, Mithridates VI.
