Episode 3: CAESAR'S ESCAPE

 This story is inspired by real events that took place 

in the struggle between Julius Caesar and Pompey, 

as well as Caesar's encounter with Cleopatra.

Part 7: THE EGYPTIAN RESPONSE

Summary of previous parts: Pharaoh Ptolemy, having escaped from his palace, put Caesar in a difficult position by attacking him in his own palace in Alexandria.  

Julius Caesar manages to escape but is pursued by Arsinoe, Pharaoh's sister, to the Lighthouse of Pharos. 

The Egyptians attack the Lighthouse, and Julius Caesar is forced to swim to his Roman galleys. 

Arriving aboard one of them, he sends a message to his squadron, which remains at sea. 

He prepares to counterattack the Egyptians in the Port of Alexandria.
