 This story is inspired by real events that took place 

in the struggle between Julius Caesar and Pompey, 

as well as Caesar's encounter with Cleopatra.

Part 5: THE LIGHTHOUSE 

OF PHAROS ISLAND

 

Summary of the previous part: The Pharaoh's sister, Arsinoe IV, takes up arms in his name. 

Ptolemy XIII manages to escape after his rebellious sister, at the head of an Egyptian army, begins driving the Romans out of the Palace of Alexandria… 

 Julius Caesar manages, at the last minute, to escape from the Palace, facing a frenzied Egyptian army.  

As he leaves with a few legionaries, Egyptian war chariots, arriving from Port Royal, rush towards them. 

Caesar decides to cut through a forest to reach the Lighthouse of Pharos, preventing the war chariots from pursuing them among the trees.
