Part 2: Arsinoe
Summary of the previous part: The Roman General Paulus Forticus succeeded in arresting Pharaoh, who refused to meet Julius Caesar.
Forticus brought him back to Alexandria to face Caesar. Caesar learned that Pharaoh had killed the entire Roman century that had come to capture him with its army.
Caesar then decided to keep the young Ptolemy under surveillance in the throne room for at least a month, until he changed his mind about ruling with his sister and wife, Cleopatra.
A month later, Caesar returned to Alexandria. He learned that Pharaoh was furious at being imprisoned. He was going to break under the pressure of Julius Caesar and accept all of his demands.
Cleopatra, however, would prefer to rule exclusively with Julius Caesar.
