Summary of the previous part: After the Egyptian chariots inflicted heavy losses on the Romans, a second wave of assault arrived: General ACHILLAS sent all his infantry against the Roman defensive lines. 

 

 Paulus Forticus realized that Pharaoh and his staff were almost completely unprotected and conceived a plan to capture him.
