- Episode 3: THE FALL OF ALESIA -

 

This story is inspired by historical events that took place during the Gallic Wars between Julius Caesar and the leader of the Gallic Tribal Alliance, Vercingetorix.

Part 4: THE WOODEN WALL

Summary of the previous part: Vercingetorix has taken refuge in the Oppidum of Alesia with the rest of the Gallic Cavalry, who lost a battle against Caesar. 

 

 Meanwhile, the Romans have given chase and arrive a few moments after Vercingetorix enters Alesia. 

 

And a few hours later, all of Julius Caesar's Legions arrive... 

 

Caesar learns that there are few provisions in this Oppidum and that it is filled with Gallic soldiers, women, and children. 

 

He decides to lay siege to Alesia by building fortifications all around it...
