This story is inspired by historical events that took place during the Gallic Wars between Julius Caesar and the leader of the Gallic Tribal Alliance, Vercingetorix.

Part 2: CAESAR'S PROTECTION

Summary of the previous part: Caesar has realized that it is dangerous for his Legions to remain in Gergovia.

The supply chain is hampered by hordes of Gauls, making it difficult to hold a siege for long, and his six Legions are tired and demoralized by years of fighting.

He risks losing the Battle of Gaul...

He decides to head south to return to Rome. He sends a message to General Labienus asking him to join him with his four Northern Legions...

Vercingetorix sees Caesar leave with his Legions and realizes that the Battle of Gergovia is won!!!

Buoyed by this success, he persuaded the Gallic leaders to give him command of the Gallic Cavalry and to crush Caesar's retreat to Rome...

Hidden with a very strong Gallic cavalry force, he charged forward with them when he saw the AGMEN, Julius Caesar's advancing column, arriving on a plain.

The column immediately formed numerous ORBIS formations, a circular rapid defense system for the Roman Legion's infantry...
