- Episode 1: THE AMBUSH -

The time: The year is 51 BC. Proconsul Julius Caesar has won a decisive victory at the Siege of Alesia, where he receives the surrender of Vercingetorix.  

 

The Gallic Wars are virtually over. But Gallic revolts are taking place in the Armorican Peninsula.  

 

Julius Caesar therefore continues the War and sends reinforcements to eliminate the last pockets of Gallic rebellion. 

 

 He has sent General Gaius Graccus, commanding one of his legions, to prepare for his arrival in this region.
