Season 2 - Caesar's Wrath
Episode 2: The Expedition
Summary of the previous episode: An emissary of Cleopatra came to meet Julius Caesar to ask for his protection from the Egyptian General Achilles.
But Caesar refused, fearing an incident with the Roman Proconsul Pompey, who was in charge of Egypt.
As the emissary departed, she was kidnapped by Gauls. Spies working for Pothinus, an associate of Achilles, had ordered her death.
The Gauls preferred to keep her alive to demand a ransom and killed Pothinus's spies. Julius Caesar freed the emissary and decided to help Cleopatra, as he could not tolerate the Egyptians intervening in Gaul and attempting to kill this Egyptian envoy.
He tasked the Roman General Paulus Forticus with going to Egypt to meet with Achilles and inform him that Cleopatra was now under Julius Caesar's protection.>>> BY CLICKING HERE <<<
