Summary of the previous part: Julius Caesar watches the Circus Games organized for his victory in the Gallic Wars.
He has just witnessed a gladiator hunt in the arena of the Colosseum...
The Retiarius is a Gladiator who usually fights without a helmet or shield. He is equipped with a net, a trident, and a metal plate on his left shoulder.
The Secutor wears a rounded helmet to prevent the Retiarius's net from snagging. He carries a large shield and a short sword (gladius). He wears greaves and has his arm protected.
