 Summary of the previous part: Julius Caesar is in the camp to interrogate the Gallic leader Dagomarus, who has been captured thanks to the tip-off of two Gauls. 

As Caesar leaves to interrogate Dagomarus, the two Gauls leaving in a cart block the camp gate, and armed Gauls emerge from all sides... 

Immediately, the alarm is raised, and Julius Caesar is taken to safety. Before leaving, he orders the prefect Claudius Mordicus to execute the Gallic leader Dagomarus. 

 Just as he is about to be executed, a camp fence falls, and the Gauls immediately return.  

The Romans are overwhelmed... 

Dagomarus takes advantage of this to overpower the Romans who were about to execute him...
